⚠️ TRAVEL ALERT: Temporary U.S. Entry Restrictions Related to Ebola

Dear Valued Passenger,

To reduce the risk of Ebola entering the United States, the U.S. government has introduced temporary travel restrictions affecting certain travelers who have recently been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Uganda, or South Sudan (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2026a).

Important Information for Passengers

Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC): All travelers, including U.S. citizens and nationals, who have been in the DRC within 21 days before their flight will not be allowed to board commercial flights to the United States. Travelers must remain outside the DRC for at least 21 days before traveling to the United States (CDC, 2026a).

Uganda and South Sudan: Certain foreign nationals, including U.S. lawful permanent residents, who have recently been in Uganda or South Sudan may be subject to entry restrictions. U.S. citizens and nationals who have visited Uganda or South Sudan, but not the DRC, may enter through designated U.S. airports for enhanced public health screening (CDC, 2026b).

Transit passengers: Travelers who have transited through an affected country may also be subject to these measures, even if they did not leave the airport (CDC, 2026b).

Before You Travel

Passengers planning to travel to the United States are strongly advised to:

Inform their airline about recent travel history.

Verify their eligibility to travel before purchasing or confirming tickets.

Confirm their flight itinerary and applicable restrictions with their airline.

Review the latest official guidance from the CDC.
